كرست ويني بتفان معظم حياتها لرعاية والدتها المسنة (التي تقيم الآن بمؤسسة خيرية كما رأينا في الجزء 1/3) وشقيقها منذ أن كان طفلا. لذا فإن كل الأشياء التي ستحدث سيكون لها تأثير مؤلم للغاية على ويني. هذه الزوجة هي أخت مخلصة تدير المتجر وتعرف تقريبا أصدقاء زوجها. من بين هؤلاء ، هناك بعض الذين يتطرفون إلى حد ما ، فقد حان الوقت للقارئ أن يعرفه. بادئ ذي بدء ، شارك ميكايليس في محاولة الافراج عن سجناء انتهت بالفشل وعلى وجه الخصوص بسجنه مدى الحياة. أمضى 20 عاما في السجن. أطلق سراحه بشروط. تعتني به سيدة إنجليزية ثرية جدا من الطبقة العليا ويعيش في بيت ريفي حيث يكتب كتابا. عرض عليه ناشر 500 جنيه إسترليني. إنه يعيش حياة مقتصدة للغاية في هذا المكان. طلبت ويني من زوجها إرسال شقيقها ستيفي ليقضي بضعة أيام صحبة ميكايليس الذي كان ودودا مع ستيفي ، وكان هذا الأخير سعيدا جدا بهذه الفرصة التي تمكنه من الهروب ولو لفترة من الحياة الروتينية ، خاصة وأنه بعيد عن والدته.
التقى الرفيق اوسيبون، عضو من جماعة الفوضويين الثوار و محرر منشورات FP (مستقبل البروليتاريا) بالبروفيسور في حانة. البروفيسور شخصية غريبة ويحمل باستمرار مفجر قنبلة في جيبه عندما يكون خارج المنزل. يتفاجأ رفيقه أوسيبون بموقفه ومنطقه ودفاعه عن أفكاره حول وسائل و كيفية إحداث التغيير بخلاف الكتابات والدعاية التي لا تجدي ولا تليق بالفوضويين الحقيقيين حسب رأي البروفيسور. فيما يتعلق بالبروفيسور ، يصفه المؤلف بأنه « العامل الأخلاقي الصغير المؤدي للتدمير … ». الصفحة 82. كان طموحا و يعتقد أنه يستحق مكانة اجتماعية أفضل. لكن خابت آماله.
أعلن ميكايليس إلى البروفيسور ، الذي لم يكن على علم بهذا الحدث، أن هناك رجل تم تفجيره (فجر نفسه) في غرينتش (Greenwich Park) بارك واعترف الملقب بالبروفيسور بأنه هو الذي أعطى مفجر القنبلة الى فيرلوك (Verloc). ص. ٧٤

On sait que Winnie est une sœur et une mère dévouée à son frère Stevie et à sa mère qui se trouve comme nous l’avions vu (partie 1/3) dans une maison de charité. Donc, tous les événements qui vont se produire vont avoir un impact très douloureux sur Winnie. Cette femme est une sœur dévouée, s’occupe du magasin et connaît plus ou moins les amis de son mari Verloc. Parmi ces derniers il y en a qui sont plus ou moins radicalisés. Il est maintenant temps que le lecteur les connaisse. Tout d’abord, Michaelis a participé à une tentative de libération de prisonniers qui s’est soldée par un échec et notamment par une peine de prison à vie. Il a séjourné en prison pendant 20 ans. Il en est sorti sous libération conditionnelle. Une dame anglaise de la haute société, très riche s’est occupée de lui et il vit dans un cottage à la campagne où il écrit un livre. Un éditeur lui a offert 500 £ pour la publication. Il mène dans cet endroit une vie très frugale. Winnie a demandé à son mari d’envoyer son frère Stevie pour quelques jours à la campagne. Winnie apprécie en effet Michaelis lequel s’est montré amical envers Stevie qui a a été très content de cette occasion qui lui permet de rompre la routine qui caractérise sa vie quotidienne.Le camarade Ossipon, membre du groupe anarchiste révolutionnaire et éditeur des publications FP (Avenir du prolétariat) a rencontré le professeur dans un pub. Le professeur est un personnage étrange et porte constamment un détonateur dans sa poche lorsqu’il n’est pas chez lui. Son camarade Ossipon est surpris par sa position, sa logique et la défense de ses idées sur les moyens et la manière provoquer le changement, contrairement aux écrits et à la propagande, qui sont inefficaces et ne sont pas considérés comme étant dignes des anarchistes authentiques selon l’opinion du professeur. L’auteur décrit cet homme comme étant « le malsain petit agent moral de destruction… ». page 82. Il était ambitieux et convaincu qu’il méritait une meilleure position sociale. Mais ses espoirs ont été déçus.
Michaelis a annoncé au professeur, qui n’était pas au courant de cet événement, qu’un homme s’était fait exploser à Greenwich Park et le soi-disant professeur a admis que c’était lui qui avait donné le détonateur à Verloc.Page 74.

We know that Winnie is a sister and a devoted mother to her brother Stevie and to her mother who is as we had seen (part 1/3) in a charity house. So all the things that are going to happen are going to have a very painful impact on Winnie. This woman is a devoted sister, runs the shop and more or less knows her husband Verloc’s friends. Among the latter there are some who are more or less radicalized. Now is the time for the reader to know them. First of all, Michaelis took part in an attempt to release prisoners which ended in failure and in particular with a life sentence. He spent 20 years in prison. He was on ticket-to-leave. A very wealthy, high society English lady took care of him and he lives in a cottage in the country where he is writing a book. A publisher offered him £ 500 for the publication. He leads a very frugal life in this place. Winnie asked her husband to send her brother Stevie to the country for a few days. Winnie indeed appreciates Michaelis who was friendly towards Stevie who was very happy with this opportunity which allows him to break the routine which characterizes his daily life.Comrade Ossipon, member of the revolutionary anarchist group and publisher of the leaflet FP (Future of proletariat) met the professor in a pub. The Professor is a strange character and constantly carries a detonator in his pocket when he’s not at home. His comrade Ossipon is surprised by his stance, his logic and his defense of his ideas on how to bring about change, unlike the writings and propaganda, which are ineffective and are not considered worthy of genuine anarchists according to the professor’s opinion. The author describes this man as « the unwholesome-looking little moral agent of destruction … ». Page 82. He was ambitious and convinced that he deserved a better social position. But his hopes were dashed.
Michaelis told the professor, who was unaware of this event, that a man blew himself up in Greenwich Park and the so-called professor admitted that it was he who gave the detonator to Verloc. P. 74.
