I have all ready posted an article about the problems facing German economy. Not long after, in France and probably other European countries, companies have an urgent need for labor and in particular are demanding for foreign workers which means that we would like to encourage immigration. However, it’s about a chosen immigration, the useful immigration. There’s no useless immigration. at the moment, France is showing pragmatism and we see that everywhere in the media, press, television and so on. They are wondering how cope with this problem and it seems as though those countries are even ready to make concessions. Are they a changing their mind? Some would say the use of immigrant labor will put downward pressure on wages. This will not be the case if employees are properly paid.

I think that entrepreneurs are more enlightened than politicians and are more aware of their interests. What the far right will say about this problem? Let us remember what the British Scottish economist
Adam Smith said about self-interest.

« It is not from the benevolence (kindness) of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. »

J’ai déjà posté un article sur les problèmes auxquels est confrontée l’économie allemande (Soif de main-d’œuvre en Allemagne). Peu de temps après, en France et probablement dans d’autres pays européens, les entreprises ont un besoin urgent de main-d’œuvre et sont particulièrement exigeantes en main-d’œuvre étrangère ce qui fait qu’on aimerait favoriser l’immigration. Pourtant, il s’agit d’une immigration choisie, l’immigration utile. Il n’y a pas d’immigration inutile. en ce moment, la France fait preuve de pragmatisme et on le voit partout dans les médias, la presse, la télévision, etc. Ils se demandent comment faire face à ce problème et il semble que ces pays soient même prêts à faire des concessions. Changent-ils d’avis ? D’aucuns diraient le recours à la main-d’œuvre immigrée va exercer une pression à la baisse des salaires. Ce ne sera pas le cas si les salariés sont correctement rémunérés.

Je pense que les entrepreneurs sont plus éclairés que les hommes politiques et sont de plus conscients de leurs intérêts. Que va dire l’extrême droite? Que l’on se rappelle ce que l’économiste écossais britannique Adam Smith a dit à propos de l’intérêt personnel. En anglais
