I was sitting on a concrete bench in the park on a sunny but cold morning. I was on my own looking aimlessly as I am often prone to do. Some while before, I was thinking of myself taking a stroll under the sun on a very hot day. And all of sudden a seagull hovering nearby landed fearlessly almost at my feet and lay motionless. It was the first time I had been so close to a bird. I took a photo because I liked the shadow cast. It had its beak open as if it was about to tell me something, to convey a message.
